Danny Seward was previously signed to EMI as a recording artist.
Danny is also an experienced professional Actor. His television credits include playing regular characters in 3 series of double Bafta winning Drama series ‘The Cops’, and 4 series of ‘Where The Heart Is’ (ITV1), with a regular viewership of over 8 million people.
It was inside a singing storyline as an actor that his Music ability was discovered by the production and writing team behind Russell Watson, who quickly signed him to a joint venture deal between EMI and ITV. His album was formed of Music he performed on the show ‘Where The Heart Is’, plus 2 original songs written by Danny, one of which was subsequently synced to ‘Ricky Hatton’- A life story on DVD as the title theme, which became the largest selling sports DVD of the year.
Danny has also developed and regularly performs his own solo shows, and has been a special guest duetting with Elaine Paige on the piano alongside the BBC symphony orchestra to over 20,000 people at the Birmingham Symphony Hall. The concert was simultaneously aired on BBC Radio 2.
Following 10 years working steadily as an actor, Danny decided to pull the brakes on his career in order to develop his music production and songwriting skills further inside higher education. He spent 4 further years studying a BA (Hons) in Popular Music and Recording, where he obtained a first-class honour degree. With this experience, he decided to write and self-produce and release a 2nd album titled ‘Uncovered’. Danny wanted to connect back to the music industry and decided to apply to Tileyard Education, studying masters in ‘commercial songwriting and production’.
Since joining Tileyard, Danny has received production and writing mentorship from renowned Tileyard producer Jon Kelly, and has also been reunited with his former manager Rick Blaskey of ‘The Music and Media Partnership. Danny has has met with Charlie Arme (Tileyard publishing and Tileyard co-owner) who’s advised on how to successfully write and pitch new material. Charlie also oversaw the roasting house writer’s camp in Sweden, which Danny attended, writing to live commercial Pop briefs. The Roasting House has expressed interest in teaming Danny with more Swedish producers on his new material. Alongside his songwriting efforts Danny also caught the the attention of scout’s from ITV’s ‘The Voice’ during his time at Tileyard.
Danny later teamed up with Chris Durkin on production for his first track, ‘Say To Me’, and soon after he self-produced and released ‘Ditto’, and ‘Hold Your Breath’. Danny released a Christmas album ‘The Magic Of Christmas’ exclusively available to dannysewardmusic.com in 2021 , along with a new album ‘On My Own’ in 2022, which was released across all platforms. He continues to write and produce new Music and works with various Producers and writers on music for other artists.
